Those
Annoying
Bible Preachers! |
|
 |
Have you
ever run into those religious fanatics who go around preaching about how we all
need to repent of our sins and follow Jesus Christ - as if they really believed
there was a Judgment Day and really was a place of eternal punishment called
Hell? They sure have a lot of nerve don't they? Shame on them for interrupting
the peace and tranquility of the lost souls all around them. Shame on them for
imposing their views on people who are quite content with their idols and
immorality. Don't these intolerant religious fanatics know that they should
keep their opinions to themselves? Who do they think they are?... their
brother's keeper or something? The world would be a lot happier if those
annoying Bible preachers would just go away... or find somebody else to
bother... And someday they will go away - when "the summer is ended and
the harvest is past", and many will begin their eternity unsaved, damned, and be
cast into outer darkness where "there will be weeping and wailing and gnashing
of teeth".
And then, when they finally
realize that those "annoying" messengers of God where sent to warn them of their
impending doom, it will simply be too late. Salvation, for them, will be gone
and all that will be left will be judgment and everlasting punishment for their
lifetime of sin, rebellion and ungodliness. And any amount of punishment in
Hell will not in any way make them more fit for heaven. In fact, in Hell, they
will become more corrupt and more vile and more wicked than when they were on
earth, for there will be no restraining spirit of God to bridle their wicked,
selfish, covetous hearts. So, heaven - which is a place of absolute moral
purity - will become even more foreign to them and they will become even more
unfit to ever dwell there. Will you be among those people who love their sin
too much to ever think of bowing to the God of Heaven, acknowledging the depth
of your sin and the great need you have for the Savior, Jesus Christ, to pay the
ransom penalty for your sins, that you would be pardoned and made fit by the
power of God to dwell in the land of eternal righteousness? Is your Heaven
ruled by a holy God who hates sin and loves holiness? There is no other Heaven,
so where will you be when they are preaching YOUR funeral?

2:3] |
